Terms and Conditions for our Digital Learning Courses
The following terms and conditions relate to the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust’s Digital Learning courses and are supplemental to Teachable’s own terms and conditions and Privacy Policy covering the site and its content more generally.
1) Terms of use
1.1. The fee covers one login to our online courses.
1.2. You will only be able to login to the course once payment has been received at which point you will be emailed with your login details.
1.3. You will be required to set an individual password and it will be your responsibility to keep a record of this and update as necessary.
1.4. The contents are to be used for educational purposes only.
1.5. There is no limit to the number of times the video resources and/or any accompanying resources can be accessed during the course.
1.6. Live Q&A sessions with members of our Learning Team can be booked for an additional fee. [Email [email protected] for more details.]
1.7. Recording of any 'live' engagements is not permitted as our lecturers look to create a conversational learning environment in which students feel free to contribute and do not feel restricted in their responses due to being recorded.
1.8. With regard to the Getting to Know Will Loan Box - please refer to our separate terms and conditions.
2) Expiry
2.1. The period you will have access to the course materials does vary. Please check the details of your course. If you are unsure, please email [email protected].
2.2. Access to your course is activated from the moment you receive your login details from Teachable. This is the day from which your period of access to the course will be calculated.
2.3. Access to the course materials will expire automatically.
2.4. After your access to the course has expired, you can still book a live engagement.
3) Payment
3.1. Payment of the course fee must be made in full and is non-refundable.
3.2. Payment will be by invoice and can be settled either by bank transfer or a cheque made payable to ‘The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust’. [At present it is not possible to process credit card payments.]
3.3. The course fee as quoted is not subject to VAT.
4) Data Protection
4.1. Any contact information that you provide to us on signing up for the scheme will be processed in accordance with the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust’s Privacy Policy.
4.2. It is your responsibility to ensure the details we hold for you in respect of the digital courses are up to date.
4.3. Unless you tell us otherwise, we may also send you information about other educational offers we have developed that may be of interest to you.
4.4. You may opt out at any time from receiving communications from the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, other than those directly related to the creation and maintenance of your digital learning account.
