Terms and Conditions for our Digital Learning Membership

The following terms and conditions relate to the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust’s Digital Learning Membership Scheme and are supplemental to Teachable’s own terms and conditions and Privacy Policy covering the site and its content more generally.

1) Terms of use

1.1. Membership fees are for a single school only.

1.2. You will only be able to login to the package of talks and resources once payment has been received at which point you will be emailed with your login details.

1.3. You will be required to set an individual password and it will be your responsibility to keep a record of this and update as necessary.

1.4. Login details to access the content can only be shared with up to six colleagues from your school and must not be shared with colleagues or others outside of your school.

1.5. The contents are to be used for educational purposes only.

1.6 There is no limit to the number of times the video resources and/or any accompanying resources can be accessed during the year’s membership.

1.7. We will notify you as and when new content is added to the package.

1.8. Outside of the diarised live engagements, separate live Q&A sessions with members of our Learning Team can be booked for an additional fee. [Email [email protected] for more details.]

1.9. Recording of any 'live' engagements is discouraged as our lecturers look to create a conversational learning environment in which students feel free to contribute and do not feel restricted in their responses due to being recorded.

1.10. With regard to the Getting to Know Will Loan Box - please refer to our separate terms and conditions.

2) Expiry

2.1. Membership is valid for one calendar year from the date of payment.  You will receive reminders approximately two months and again one month before your membership is due to expire giving you the option to renew or end your membership. 

2.2. At the end of the year your membership will expire automatically and your login for the membership scheme will be deactivated, unless you have renewed for another year.

2.3. After your membership expires it will still be possible to book and pay for live engagements or standalone digital sessions on an individual basis.

3) Payment

3.1. Payment of the membership fee must be made in full and is non-refundable.

3.2. Payment will be by invoice and can be settled either by bank transfer or a cheque made payable to ‘The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust’.

3.3. The membership fee as quoted is not subject to VAT.

4) Data Protection

4.1. Any contact information that you provide to us on signing up for the scheme will be processed in accordance with the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust’s Privacy Policy.

4.2. We will use the contact details you supplied to us to inform you of your membership benefits and any updates to the scheme contents. This information will be shared with you via email.

4.3. It is your responsibility to ensure the details we hold for you in respect of the membership scheme are up to date.

4.4. Unless you tell us otherwise, we may also send you information about other educational offers we have developed that may be of interest to you.

4.5. You may opt out of receiving communications from the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, other than those directly related to the creation and maintenance of your membership account at any time.

5) Membership benefits

5.1. In addition to videos and accompanying resources, membership will also entitle you to discounts on purchases made in the SBT shops online (10%) using the discount code supplied in your confirmation email. Discount of 10% also available on Key Stage 2 Loan Boxes.

5.2. Access to these discounts/additional benefits will cease on the expiry of your membership.
